Terms
Terms of use
The conditions for using this site. The important ones are the first two, and they are the ones people actually need.
The Main Point
A referral is an introduction, not a recommendation
Peak Roof Pros is a referral service. We connect homeowners with independent roofing companies; we do not employ them, supervise their work, or perform it ourselves. A connection is an introduction, and it is not a warranty, endorsement or guarantee of any company’s work, licensing, insurance or pricing.
Any contract for work is between you and that company. Satisfy yourself about licensing, insurance, references and the written scope before you sign anything — that advice appears on our pages because we mean it.
Limits
What the guidance here is, and is not
The material on this site is general information about roofs, storm damage and how insurance handles it. It is not legal advice, not a coverage determination, not an engineering opinion and not a substitute for having your roof looked at by someone qualified. Insurance terms, filing deadlines and matching requirements differ by state and by policy; your policy and your state regulator are authoritative, and this site is not.
We publish carefully and correct errors when we find them or when they are pointed out, but we do not warrant that everything here is complete or current for your situation. Decisions with money attached should be checked against your own documents.
Our Storm Aggregation
Using the data we publish
The underlying storm records are public and belong to NOAA. Our compilation of them — the county aggregation, the thresholds we chose and the way it is presented — is our work. You are welcome to cite figures from it with attribution to Peak Roof Pros and a link to the page you took them from. Republishing the compiled dataset wholesale as your own is not permitted.
The thresholds we used are stated on the page, and we would rather you check our figures against NOAA than take them on trust.
The Rest
General conditions
Do not use this site to break the law, to scrape it in a way that degrades it for other people, or to misrepresent yourself as us. We may change these terms as the site changes, and the last-updated date below moves when we do. If a provision here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

Before you call anyone
The independent match — we are paid for the introduction, not for the size of your job
Most roofing advice is written by the company that wants to do the work. That is not a failing of the people who read it; it is a defect in who is talking. The estimate, the diagnosis and the invoice come from one party, and no amount of care on your side fixes that.
We are built the other way round. We do not repair roofs and we do not sell materials, so the payment reaches us when you are connected to a licensed, insured roofing company — the same amount whether your roof needs an eight-hundred-dollar repair or a twenty-thousand-dollar replacement. Nobody here has a reason to talk you into the larger number. How we make money and how we research are both written down.
Waiting is the one thing that actually costs money. An insurance clock runs from the date of the damage rather than the date you noticed it, and damage that sits through a season stops reading as sudden and starts reading as wear — which is the exclusion that pays nothing. And if your roof is simply worn out, say so on the call. No claim will pay for age, we will tell you that plainly, and you will have lost nothing but the call.
